The Balbardie Park of Peace, home to the Bathgate Sports Centre and the Golf Course, has a wide range of facilities for sports and physical activities.

    Refurbished and redesigned in 2005, the play area in the park now has facilities for older and younger children, from toddlers to teenagers. The play area has a range of surfaces, but is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs.

    Apart from using the park for kickabouts, there's a full size floodlit synthetic pitch, a grass pitch and a pavilion. You can play in all weathers which also makes the area an attractive training location. The pitch can be split for five or seven a side games. Booking for the pitches is through the Bathgate Sports Centre.

Track And Field athletics

  • Location: 
    Outdoor
  • Information: 
    As part of the outdoor facilities for the Sports Centre, the park has a decathalon area. The track has a synthetic straight and a bend which is 200m in total length. The remainder of the track is grass so it is possible to complete a 400m circuit half on synthetic, half on grass. Permanent facilities for all field events are also provided. The track is floodlit and there are changing facilities.
